Turn on multi-factor authentication today
Stolen passwords are behind a huge share of account break-ins. Multi-factor authentication is the simplest, cheapest fix.
Passwords get reused, guessed and leaked. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second check, like a code on your phone, so a stolen password alone isn't enough.
Where to turn it on first
- Your email account (it can reset everything else)
- Banking and payroll
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace admin accounts
- Your domain registrar and website host
Which method to choose
- An authenticator app or security key is the strongest everyday option.
- Text-message codes are better than nothing, but easier to intercept.
It takes about ten minutes per account, and it's one of the best security investments a small business can make.
